Beginning April 11th, ArtVentures will be hosting a Young Artists Exhibition from the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Program. To recognize National Child Abuse Awareness Month in April, as well as to raise awareness about the depth of this problem, CASA has developed the Art of Healing Project. This Project provides a vehicle for children affected by violence to express their emotions by painting on canvas. Mid-Michigan children, along with their Special Advocates, have created these expressive "masterpieces" which will be on display at ArtVentures through the end of April. An Opening Reception for these Young Artists and their Advocates will take place on Friday evening, April 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at ArtVentures.
